Johann Georg [Georg] Lickl (11/04/1769 - 12/05/1843), an Austrian composer, born in Korneuburg. He was musically gifted and supported himself as a church organist. By 16 he was living in Vienna and studied with Albrechtsberger and Haydn. He left Vienna about 1806 to become church chapelmaster at Pécs in Hungary. He wrote eight operas, churchmusic, a requiem and more.
