Christian Knopf-Albrecht
1973 -
Germany
Christian Knopf-Albrecht (16/05/1973), born in Rostock, developed compositional ambitions early on, which were specifically encouraged through his musical education. In 1991, for example, he won second prize at the “Jugend musiziert” state competition. In addition to chamber and organ music, the already quite extensive work also includes larger vocal and orchestral works, such as the symphony, the orchestral suite, the St. Mark Passion and the oratorio "Tröstet mein Volk". His compositional work is always characterized by an inner commitment to God and Christianity, which is also reflected in the subject matter of his pieces, without falling into the superficial activism of "New Sacred Music".
