Jan Krystof Karel Gayer (c.1668 - 16/11/1734), a Czech composer; born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The first choirmaster of St. Vitus in Prague whose compositions we know of, was Michal Rosenberger. His successor Mikulas F. Wentzeli was a recognised composer, and so was the Loretto director of the choir, Krystof K. Gayer, who took Wentzeli´s place in 1705.
