This Requiem is for soprano, chorus SSAB and orchestra.
One of “Six Songs from Underwoods”, text by Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894), an American poet. Appropriately it was Stevenson's own short poem, ‘Requiem’ (1880, from an 1887 collection), that was written on his tomb:
Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie...
Author:Richard Dury
The text of "Requiem" by Stevenson:

Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

The text of this poem has been used by Sidney Homer, Charles Ives, Ned Rorem, Ernest Whyte, Jonathan Lovenstein, Edward Bell, David Bedford and Luke Zaccaro.
