Horst Best (20/05/1940), a German choir conductor and composer. Horst Best, born in Arzbach in 1940, took piano and organ lessons, music theory and composition lessons from childhood, later passed the state examination for higher education (senior teacher at the Görres-Gymnasium in Koblenz). In 2011 he was able to look back on more than 50 years of conducting and was awarded the Medal of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
