Ingvar Lidholm (24/02/1921), a Swedish composer, born in Jönköping. He is one of the classics of new Swedish music. Tradition is important to him, from antique drama to renaissance vocal polyphony. Still, he is a renewer; to simply write according to a formula would be impossible for him. He seeks the unique in each work he composes.
