Ferdinando Provesi (20/04/1770 - 26/07/1833), an Italian composer, born in Parma. He was a charismatic musician from Busseto, organist, choirmaster, municipal maestro di cappella, teacher at the music school and leader of the amateur Philharmonic Society orchestra. He was Verdi's first teacher.
