Cyrillus Kreek (03/12/1889 - 26/03/1962), an Estonian composer and pedagoog, born in Võnnu. He studied trombone at the conservatory of St. Petersburg with F. Turneri and P. Volkovi, and composition and theorie with Vassili Kalafati, Jazeps Vitolsi and Nikolai Tšerepnini. In 1947 he became professor at the conservatory of Talin.
