Róbert Rick (1983), a Hungarian composer, born in Dunaujváros, Hungary. Rick: "I was born in 1983 in Dunaújváros. After graduating from the Városmajor Grammar School and the Leó Weiner Secondary School of Music (my teacher András Héra), I graduated as a sound engineer at the Academy of Hungarian Radio.
I obtained my master's degree in piano and master's degree in piano at the Béla Bartók Institute of Music, University of Miskolc, as a student of Dr. Balázs Réti. In 2012, I reached the final of the OTDK, my research topic was the relationship between classical music and acoustics. I have participated in several international master classes with artists such as Balázs Szokolay, Attila Némethy, Márta Gulyás, László Gyimesi, György Nádor. I have worked for several choirs as an accompanist and tutor.
Currently, in addition to teaching and chamber music (Ignis fatuus chamber ensemble), I compose, mainly for choir and chamber formations, but I also like to write works for my students and four-handed works. In addition to classical music, I am a founding member of Klezmer R’s and the Cats Of The Pub blues band, the former winning a talent search competition at the Valley of Arts in Kapolcs in 2001."
