Joannes Josephus [Joannes] Viotta (14/01/1814 - 06/02/1859), a Dutch composer, musician, pianist, organist and singer and writer on music; born and died in Amsterdam. His father Joseph Viotta was from Italy, but he married a Dutch girl, Gezina Christina Schuering. She gave birth to 18 children.
