Ferdinando Ceccherini (1792 - 12/01/1858), an Italian composer, born and died in Florence. Tenor-singer, pupil of the Abbate Filippo Allegri. He was court tenoi", and maestro di cappella and professor of singing at the Academy, Florence. Among his compositions are four oratorios : Saul, David, San Benedetto, and Debora e Giale, all of which were produced in Florence ; A Requiem, and a great deal of other church music.
