Father Gregor Brantschen (1894 - 1987), a Swiss composer. Born in Randa, he became a priest in 1919 and worked in Zermatt, Lötschental and Vikar. His nickname: "Liederpfarrer"; he composed sacred and secular music. He was President of the Oberwalliser Cäcilienverbandes.
